A Message From Our President
Hello fellow NCBIA members! I want to start by saying thank you for the privilege and opportunity to serve the NCBIA as President during the 2009-2010 term. As with any previous year, we will be facing challenges, and being team oriented; I am looking for the NCBIA team to be along beside me as we look ahead. Through my years of serving the NCBIA on its Board of Directors, I have had an opportunity to observe and participate in the many facets that make up the NCBIA. I have learned a lot, and feel that I have noticed things that have worked well for our organization as well as things that need some attention.
As a result of struggles being shown across the entire state, I am led to focus on the needed functions of the NCBIA; therefore I am calling for a “Back to the Basics” presidency. “Back to the Basics” is not to neglect the visions of the future as we will always try to prepare for the future, but it is a call to all our leadership and especially membership to focus on our core responsibilities and obligations. The leadership should strive to preserve the visions of the NCBIA through our time honored focus on “Integrity, Professionalism, and Education” as we make decisions, set goals, and press on for our future. I am asking the membership to simply get involved. This does not mean physical work but it does mean communicating with the leadership on what you feel is working, what’s not working, what are your needs …Just let us know!!! I can personally be contacted at 252-329-4513 or at leverett@greenvillenc.gov
Again, I want to thank you for electing me your president for 2009-2010, and I look forward to getting “Back to the Basics”.
Les Everett
